The following dogs are certified as Reading Education Assistance Dogs.
The Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) Program is sponsored by Intermountain Therapy Animals and helps improve children’s reading and communication skills by reading to an animal. R.E.A.D. volunteers are working therapy dog teams that visit schools, libraries, and other facilities as reading companions for children. Teams must complete the certification training for the program and be active with a registered therapy dog organization in order to earn the R.E.A.D. designation.
