Paws 4 Hearts Working Therapy Dogs Memorial Scholarship Paws 4 Hearts Working Therapy Dogs is an exceptional and elite group of highly trained therapy dog teams that offers pet assistance therapy. Our teams provide smiles and encouragement, as well as physical and emotional support for many. Our working therapy dogs are making a difference one paw print at a time. Paws 4 Hearts created this scholarship program in honor of one of our most dedicated volunteers, Yvonne “Wendy” Larrabee. To continue her legacy of giving back, this scholarship was created to be awarded to seniors in high school in Bexar, Comal, and Guadalupe County (Texas) schools that are applying to an accredited program in a field of health, medicine, or science related to animals. Applicants must meet the following criteria: Be a high school senior graduating from Bexar, Comal, or Guadalupe County school (Texas) Be applying to an accredited program in a field of health, medicine or science related to animals Must have been involved in some area of volunteer work in the past two years. Have a GPA of 3.5 or higher Complete the attached application along with two letters of recommendation Active members of Paws 4 Hearts and their immediate family are ineligible to apply Number of awards: 1 Available Amount: up to $2500 Please contact us to request an application.
